Thursday, December 08, 2011 saw the deaths of two lawmen in the South.
In Moore County, NC, Deputy Richard Rhyne, 58, was shot and killed as he served an arrest warrant.
Ofc. Deriek W. Crouse, of the Va. Tech Campus Police Department, was shot and killed while conducting a traffic stop.
These latest tragedies brings the number of in the line of duty deaths to 147.
